When it’s useful
You’re growing. The team is capable. But delivery is heavier than it should be - reporting takes hours, handoffs get lost, and the same five questions keep landing on your desk.
You know something needs to change. Where to start is the harder question.
That’s what the Diagnostic is for.
What you get
Over 2-3 weeks (~4 days of my time), I map your delivery end to end - from client onboarding through monthly delivery and reporting to offboarding.
You’ll come away with:
- A visual process map of your current delivery, separating what the client sees from what happens internally. Most founders tell me it’s the first time they’ve seen their business laid out this way.
- A prioritised opportunity list - quick wins alongside larger pieces of work, ranked by likely impact vs effort.
- A short written summary of findings and recommended next steps, including where automation or AI is worth using and where it isn’t.
You own it. You can act on it with me, with your team, or hand it to someone else. The point is the clarity, not the ongoing engagement.
How it runs
- Kick-off working session with you and whoever leads delivery day-to-day.
- Short follow-up conversations with the people who feel where things get stuck - usually 2-3 team members.
- Map, prioritise and write up in the background.
- Walk-through with you (and the team if you want) to hand over findings and answer questions.
Then it’s yours.
Who this is for
- Founders and MDs of scaling service businesses - typically 5-30 people, around or past £1m revenue.
- Teams where the founder is still the escalation path for delivery questions.
- Businesses that suspect they need “better ops” but don’t yet know what that looks like in practice.
Most useful when the business is genuinely working - just not as cleanly as it should be at your size. Less useful for pre-revenue teams or businesses in outright crisis.

If you’d like ongoing hands-on support after the Diagnostic, we can talk about the Built to Scale package or an ongoing Fractional arrangement - but there’s no expectation either way.
