Built to Scale
When you’ve done the Diagnostic and want me to build the fixes with you - as one fixed-fee package.
From £10k · fixed-fee, fixed-outcome · scoped after the Diagnostic
What it is
The outcome we’re working towards: operations set up to scale, so the next ten clients feel like the last two.
Most scaling businesses have the same underlying pattern. They know what’s broken well enough, but the work to fix it keeps losing to the work that’s paying today. So the debt builds. Reporting takes longer. New hires take six months to be useful.
Built to Scale is the deal: we agree the outcome, agree the price, and I bring the diagnosis and the doing.
Why it starts with the Diagnostic
Any package priced before discovery is a guess.
The Diagnostic tells us both what’s broken and where the biggest wins are. Only then can I scope Built to Scale properly against those findings.
If you decide not to continue afterwards, the map is yours - you’ve already paid for it.
What’s in it
Everything the Operations Diagnostic delivered, plus:
- Building the fixes with your team. I’m in the business - process changes, tools set up properly, automations that actually run - not writing a strategy doc from the sidelines.
- Documented systems your team owns. Written down, walkable-through, not sitting in one person’s head.
- Team coaching alongside the build. So the way of working sticks after I’m gone.
- A clean handover. Named owners, agreed rhythms, and a plan for the first six months without me.
Delivered as one package. One price. One outcome. One thing to sign off.
How it’s structured
It’s sold as an outcome.
Duration is my problem, not yours.
Internally the work runs across a few months of hands-on time. But you’re buying operations set up to scale - however long that takes to land. The fee and the scope are fixed.
The upside of committing to an outcome rather than a rolling retainer: a better price, no monthly negotiation, and a real end date.
What changes for you
By the end of the package:
- The operations that used to depend on you are documented, working, and owned by your team.
- Delivery runs to a rhythm rather than personalities.
- Reporting comes out of the work, not from a monthly scramble.
- New hires get useful in weeks, not months.
- The systems hold up when I’m not in the room.
Who this is for
- Businesses that have run the Diagnostic and are ready to make the changes with senior hands, rather than resource it internally.
- Founders who want a real end date, not a rolling arrangement.
- Teams where the operating model needs rebuilding, not tweaking.
Not sure whether this or Fractional is the right shape? Fractional is the ongoing arrangement - senior hands across the month for whatever’s on top of the pile. Built to Scale is the finite package with a clear finish line.
Price
From £10k, fixed-fee, scoped from the Diagnostic findings. Every engagement is agreed in writing before anything is signed.
The trade-off is deliberate: a fixed-price, fixed-outcome package is a bigger commitment than a rolling retainer - and it comes with a better price than buying the same work month by month.
